Beijing's Luxurious Hotel Backed by a Billionaire Owner with a Net Worth of 3.3 Billion Yuan

Since July 29th, the remnants of Typhoon Dujuan have brought heavy rainfall to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. On the 31st, the lavish Beijing Xitan Hotel, located near Tange Temple in Mentougou, was hit by mountain torrents, causing widespread discussion.

According to official information, it took 8 years and 800 million yuan to complete the Xitan Hotel, which boasts 38 suites and 10 villas nestled amidst the mountains. The hotel's regular room rates range from 6,000 to 15,000 yuan per night. The renowned Michelin three-star restaurant, New Rongji, also established its prestigious banquet hall at the Xitan Hotel, with an average consumer price of 2,294 yuan per person according to Dianping, a popular review website.

Of particular note, the operating entity of the hotel, "Beijing Xitan Hotel Management Co., Ltd.," is primarily owned by Cheng Shaoliang, who is also a core figure of the former "Yintai Group." He was listed as the 1,999th on the 2021 Hurun Rich List, with a fortune of 3.3 billion yuan.
